Admission to any course is made for one academic year only.
Those who have passed the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (S.S.L.C.) Examination or any other examination recognized by the Board as equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the two-year Pre-University Course.
The language selected by the candidate should be the one which a candidate has studied at the school level and has passed at the S.S.L.C. or equivalent examination..
Application forms for P.U.C. should be obtained from the College office. All the forms should be filled up, complete with regard to all the information asked for, in the candidate's own hand writing. (Incomplete applications will be considered disqualified).The forms should reach the College office soon after the publication of the results of S.S.L.C. examination or before any date as is announced by the Principal. Students need not wait for the original Marks Card to apply for admission. Falsification of marks will lead to dismissal with forfeiture of fees.
Students of ICSE/CBSE Board also must apply as soon as their results are declared with a provisional Marks Card without waiting for the original Marks card.
There will be an interview of all the applicants on the date and time notified by the Principal. The applicants will require to bring their parent/guardian when they appear for the interview.
All Candidates should bring the following records when they present themselves for the interview :
1. A Provisional marks card
2. A Conduct Certificate
3. Caste Certificate (If applied under reserved quota)
4. Income Declaration Certificate/Affidavit (in the case of students seeking fee concessions).
Candidate whose family income is less than Rs. 11,000/- per annum and wishes to apply for fee concessions for the year 2007-08 should submit their applications in the prescribed forms, duly completed in all respects while paying the fees. Applications will not be accepted later. In case the Government does not reimburse the fees to the College, the difference will have to be paid by the candidate.
Students who do not appear for the interview on the specified date and time are liable to lose the seat.
Students who are finally selected after the interview should pay their fees immediately through bank challans. The fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. Selected students who do not pay the fees will forfeit their seats.
All admission to the P.U.C. are provisional and subject to the approval of the Pre-University Board.
Note: 1. Hostel facility is available for girls, run by the Institution of the Maids of the Poor. Applications can be obtained from the Hostel Office.
2. Principal will be available for consultation between 12.15p.m. and 1.00p.m. on working days
